What is Suprose?

Welcome to Suprose.

Why Su-prose? "Su" in Sanskrit is a prefix for "good". This is a place where we will discuss and analyze prose (with a South Asian Connection) - that which is good, awesome, excellent, and maybe rant about prose that could be better.

Whether you love prose, are a prose expert, or want to learn more about prose, or to put it simply want to have anything to do with prose, this blog is for you.

365 Days Of Inspiration!

Alexis Madrigal writes in The Atlantic,  that Lincoln and Darwin Were Both Born on This Date, 205 Years Ago

Madrigal quotes Adam Gopnik who wrote -- "Their phrases still ring because they were struck on bells cast of solid bronze, not chimes set blowing in the breeze."

"If we do celebrate February the 12th as something special, it should be for this hope: "People's minds and hearts can be altered by the slow crawl of fact as much as by the long reach of revelation." All times have probably required some version of appealing to people's "better angels." Let this be ours," says Madrigal.
